Product Description

The SEC Cellyte ETG series of OPzV VRLA Tubular Gel single cells is a traditional design that complies with International DIN standards. The range is engineered with die cast tubular grids and gelled electrolyte which reduces the need for topping up and makes the product virtually maintenance free. The range also incorporates SEC's industry leading CatVent catalyst technology as standard. This means lower float currents which in turn means reduced gassing, reduced cell heating and reduced positve plate corrosion. The resulting range is perfect for high integrity critical applications including power generation & distribution, telecom and premium renewable energy projects.
The 2V series is available in a wide range of capacities from 100 to 3000 Ah and with a choice of standard or V0 rated flame retardent tough ABS cases. A selection of bespoke racking solutions are also available including designs approved for Seismic Zone 4 installations.
The ETG range is manufactured in SEC's ISO approved factories and is backed by a full 5 year warranty as standard.

Specification Design life
The SEC Cellyte ETG series of OPzV VRLA tubular single
cells are based on traditional design, but incorporate SEC

still complying with DIN standards. The range is engineered
with die cast tubular spines using a Calcium Tin Lead Alloy. The
gelled electrolyte prevents the need for topping up, making the
product virtually maintenance free.
SEC's industry-leading CatVent™ catalyst technology is fitted
as standard across the whole ETG series. SEC CatVent™
technology enables lower float currents which in turn means
reduced gassing, reduced cell heating, and reduced positive
plate corrosion. These benefits result in longer battery life, and
lower operating temperatures.

The CatventTM technology reduces self-discharge and plate
corrosion so the battery will last longer. It has a calendar life of
over 20-years in stationary applications and a long shelf life in the
right conditions.
The latest tubular plate formation technology means the battery
will perform for longer in a variety of applications. And the low
resistance Lead alloy in the plates makes for faster recharge.
Designed for deep-discharge, the ETG is a hardy battery that's ideally
suited to renewable energy applications. Its construction and high
purity gelled electrolyte means the ETG does not require watering,
making it maintenance-free. This battery offers peace of mind in
harsh environments for remote and stand-alone applications.
The ETG is spill-proof and leak-proof and features explosionproof
vents as standard. This lowers the risk of accidental fire. The
European designed triple-sealed post system offers enhanced
long term durability and security from leaking, which prohibits
tracking between units and prevents low performance issues.
Shock resistant and suited to higher temperature environments.
Designed to operate at 30°C it will withstand a temperature range
between - 15°C to + 40°C. The ETG will operate at sub-zero
temperatures and has an extended lifetime while stationary cycling
at high temperatures > 25°C.
The ETG has extremely low internal resistance, allowing quick
recharge and operation at cooler temperatures. This makes it
more efficient when your application demands a quick charge/
recharge turnaround
